Kelly Rowland Wants to Reunite with Estranged Dad

Kelly Rowland is motivated to reconcile with her biological dad after years of being estranged from him.

The R&B songbird was raised by her single mother Doris ever since her dad, Christopher, left the household when she was 7  years old. The heartbreak of growing up without a father around still pains her, but she hopes to one day meet with him. “I do have a desire to speak to him,” she told Grazia magazine. “But I have to be ready when I make that decision, and I don’t want to hurry myself. I’ve been without him for more than 20 years.”
Fortunately, being raised without a dad hasn’t sour her attraction to men. The 30-year-old singer is enjoying the single life but she plans on settling down in the near future. I’m dating and happy,” she says without revealing who’s her current beau. “I definitely want to get married and I definitely want babies.”
However, Rowland is quick to point out that she will kick a man to the curb if she not being treated right. “When I noticed myself starting to date a–hole guys, and unavailable guys, I changed that real quick,” she attests.
In the meantime, K. Row is getting prepared to hit the road next month with Chris Brown on his F.A.M.E. tour, which kicks off Sept. 12 in Toronto and wraps up Oct. 30 in Hartford, Conn.
