Lil Wayne to digitally release Tha Carter IV LP after VMAs at midnight 10:40 PM
Learning from Watch The Throne (as would be silly not to considering the hype before, during and after its release), Billboard.biz recently revealed that Lil Wayne would be releasing his much anticipated Tha Carter IV to digital retailers at midnight on Sunday; following his MTV VMA performance. Physical retailers will (obviously) open quite a few hours later. Unlike Jay and Ye‘s Watch The Throne however, digital sales will not only be limited to iTunes and will also encompass Amazon and other retailers.
Hoping to be making history Weezy released a statement saying he was “extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea.” And with Tha Carter III the best selling album of 2008; all eyes are on Weezy F. I’ll be seeing the rest of you die hard fans online at midnight then.
