Nicki Minaj Attacked By Man at Hotel Palomar in Dallas

It was bad night for colorful rap diva Nicki Minaj on Monday night, as the singer was attacked in her Dallas hotel room by the man she was reportedly staying with. Yikes.

According to TMZ, here’s how the drama went down: Minaj was lounging poolside at the upscale Palomar Hotel when she became involved in what TMZ is describing as an “intense verbal spat” with an unidentified man she was staying with. Based on that information, it’s not like this was a random act or a crazed fan. Minaj eventually asked a hotel employee to alert the authorities, as the man retreated to their room. Minaj soon followed him. Upon their arrival, the police and paramedics discovered that the verbal altercation continued up to their hotel room, resulting in Minaj being struck in the mouth and suffering an injury to her lower lip.

The man had already left the scene by this time and Minaj refused to press charges against him. She also firmly stated that she is not in a relationship with him so we can’t exactly chalk this up to some sort of a lover’s quarrel, either. An incident report was filled out, but per the rapper’s request, no charges will be filed.
The injury to Minaj’s mouth must have been minor enough for her to dismiss the idea of pressing charges, since being struck in the mouth is a big deal. However, this incident appears to be something she wants to put behind her. We’re hoping everything is A-OK in the Minaj camp.

Minaj also tweeted about the fracas and about the fact that the incident has been blown out of proportion, writing: “The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn’t leave on a stretcher w/his balls hangin off? #getaF%cknLife.”
