Taylor Swift is in the middle of her Speak Now World Tour, but she won’t be doing any singing for a few days due to a bout with bronchitis that has forced her to cancel a few shows.
Over the weekend, the young superstar canceled her July 2 concert in Louisville, which was quickly rescheduled, and she apologized on her Twitter feed: “Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct 11. This is my first time having to do this. I’m so, so sorry.”
Now, Swift’s July 8-10 shows in Charlotte and Atlanta have been postponed as well. In a statement, the ‘You Belong With Me’ singer said, “I would never cancel if I thought I was physically able to perform these shows. I am so sorry to the fans, but I look forward to seeing you when we come back through your towns, which we will do.”
Swift’s tour is expected to resume July 14 in Montreal and will continue through the end of November.
Taylor isn’t the only performer to postpone concerts this summer. Adele‘s battle with laryngitis forced her to reschedule nine dates of her 2011 tour, while Duran Duran and Amy Winehouse both had to cancel shows in Europe.
