CELEBRATY 7:49 PM
Just hours after the surfacing of her new visual for her latest single , British bred belter Adele has made her way to the top of United World Album Chart for a 23rd week, beating the likes of Lil Wayne and Lady GaGa to the top spot.
With 262,000 copies of her LP ‘21‘ sold across the globe this week, her album ‘19′ came in at #19 with 44,000 units sold, making her the only artist in the chart this week to have two albums in the Top 20.
More information below…
At #7 is Lil Wayne with ‘Tha Carter IV‘ which sold 101,000 units this week, placing it three places above GaGa’s ‘Born This Way‘ which moved a commendable 65,000 copies within the last seven days.
Meanwhile, ‘Watch The Throne’ by Jay Z and Kanye West is this week’s #11 whilst Beyonce’s ‘4′ resides at the #19 spot, 7 places below Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ which sold 51,000 copies worldwide since the last chart week.
Will Adele’s reign ever let up? Or will the ‘Someone Like You’ video only serve to boost the sales of a record that has already moved more than 10 million copies worldwide?
