Allegedly Flood L.A. Sherrif’s Phone Lines 11:52 AM
According to deputies, telephone calls to the station began around 5PM after Game tweeted to his 580,000 followers that they should call another Twitter user for an “internship” with his Black Wall Street label. “Call @wackstar for internship……. Lol he answering all bws phones today” is the offending tweet sheriffs believe was the source of the telephone flash mob.
That was followed by a set of heated exchanges between the two parties, and then Game allegedly tweeted the Compton Sheriff’s Station number, which jump-started the influx of calls to the police station.
“This was beyond irresponsible,” L.A. Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Parker told the Los Angeles Times. “The deputies’ ability to answer the phones and dispatch personnel to help these people in danger was significantly impeded.”
After a thorough investigation into Game’s Twitter account, deputies confirmed that he committed the alleged act, s0 Parker tweeted the rapper to stop his shenanigans.
Game didn’t deny nor accept culpability for his actions. “Yall can track a tweet down but cant solve murders! Dat was an accident but maybe now yall can actually do yall job!!!! #iSpeak4ThePeople,” he tweeted. “P.S. who killed Biggie & Pac???”
The L.A. Sheriff’s Department is launching an investigation and is planning to report their findings to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office for criminal prosecution. “Each phone call made does open the possibility for an additional charge,” Parker said.
Neither Game nor his attorneys had a comment on the matter.
